Mike Stacy Landscaping (MSL) was founded by Mike (Mickey) Stacy in 1975. Mike was a well respected and integrated member of the community. After Mike´s passing in 1989, his brother Jack Stacy took over the company with the encouragement and support of Mike´s wife, Judy Stacy. During his ownership, Jack maintained customer satisfaction with high quality standards. His commitment to see the family business succeed was evident throughout every job. Jack´s work ethic and keen eye for detail enhanced MSL´s reputation and became the foundation for how the company is operated today.

MSL once again changed ownership when Jack´s grandson Matt Ernst, acquired the company in 2004. Prior to the transaction, Matt worked with his grandfather to develop the skills necessary for continuing the family business. Matt also attended The University of Massachusetts and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Landscape Contracting from Stockbridge School of Agriculture. He has since furthered his education with certifications from The North East Organic Farming Association (NOFA) and The Green Schools Landscape Management program offered by The U-Mass Extension Service.
