Outdoor Gas and Wood Fire Pits

Outdoor fires are great social and entertaining areas to add to your landscape but require careful planning and placement. Safety is top priority when it comes to design. They require being in safe places that are free of overhanging trees and shrubs.

Outdoor Gas Fire Pit

Gas burning fire pits require town permitting for the electrical and gas connections. Licensed and insured plumbers and electricians are required to make all the necessary connections from the house to your fire pit. Safety shut off switches are required for gas fire pits in an event of an uncontrolled burn. Each town has there own requirements and permitting process so doing home work before installing a gas fire pit is required. Wood burning pits don’t require this type of permitting. Checking in with your local fire department is a good idea before installing any wood burning device, but is not required. At Mike Stacy Landscaping, we take the worry out of all of this for you.
