Cobble Options and Ideas

Cobbles can be used for many different applications, although the most common one you will see is for edging out driveways and cobble aprons. The jumbo cobbles are used in cobble aprons and can be either dry set and or wet laid in concrete. In some cases there is a need to use them for the edging as well but you can get away with the regulation cobbles. The most common color is stanstead or what we call “salt and pepper.”

 Cobble Ideas

Cobble Option 1

This cobble apron and edging is laid in concrete and the asphalt was laid after we were done. These cobbles are the jumbo cobbles both in the edge and apron.

Cobble Stones with Rock Driveway

This cobble edge and apron is dry laid with a more common ¾” Native Stone finish but shells can be substituted for the gravel. These are also the jumbo cobbles for the apron and edge.

Cobble Stone Path Idea

Here we used the 4” x 4” x 4” cube cobbles as our edge restraint and to define the edge of the brick walkway.
